Hello vannac21, Thanks for your questions! I would recommend asking your plastic surgeon if he/she requires you to lose weight or not depending on whether he/she is planning to do a full body Liposuction or just a limited Liposuction to harvest the fat. Based on the information you’ve shared about your height and weight, your current Body Mass Index (BMI) estimate is 29.2. For procedures that involves longer incisions, such as abdominoplasty and breast reduction surgery, it is ideal to achieve a BMI of less than 30 to minimize your risks for complications, such as wound dehiscence and infection. I do suggest to continue having a healthy lifestyle with an exercise regimen and diet plan before and after your surgery. Wishing you the best! Dr. De La Cruz.
That is an excellent and very important question when fat grafting is the surgical procedure. Depending on the goal, as far as the amount of augmentation that is achieved, involves having enough fat for the buttock augmentation. However, if a patient has a weight or health goal, the surgeon may recommend being within 5-10 lbs.of your goal so as not to compromise those results.
For any surgery I recommend being at a relatively ideal weight. Losing weight before your surgery is better for the result as opposed to losing weight after the procedure. I would discuss this with your plastic surgeon before your surgery.
Hello dear! Thanks for your question and provided information as well.Without pictures its hard to say. Your BMI should be less than 30 for elective procedures. Good luck :)
It is difficult to evaluate your candidacy with no photos. BMI should be less than 30 prior to an elective surgery for health and safety reasons. Your current BMI is 29.2.
Hello! It is hard to say what would be right for you without pictures, It is necessary to maintain a stable weight to obtain the best results possible. To undergo elective surgery your BMI has to be less than 30, if you health and weigh allow it then i would say you are a great candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift, this procedure includes liposuction on certain areas of your body mainly to address to obtain the best results possible. You definitely must be evaluated first to coordinate with procedures will fit your needs. Visit a certified plastic surgeon to accomplish what you wished. Best wishes.RegardsDr. Israel MañonCertified Plastic Surgeon

Good question. Volume is the amount of fat we place during a BBL. The number of cubic centimeters (cc). There are 354 cc in a regular can of Coke. 1 cc equals 1 ml (milliliter). Some patients have larger buttocks and naturally need more volume, others want more volume and some patients desire a...
You may find it difficult to get someone to perform a BBL after you have had the PMMA shots As most surgeons do not want to risk infection and also it can be more difficult to graft with the PMMA in place because the PMMA is much firmer than fat and can prohibit your cannula for moving.
