I had my labs done Saturday April 15 I have been talking iron pills and vitamin C pills since April 3 BBL Surgery is scheduled for May 11th

Have your labs repeated a few days before your scheduled surgery.  If they remain low, ask your plastic surgeon if he recommends that you postpone your BBL until they reach a satisfactory level.  You are following the correct course to increase your hemoglobin level:  iron pills (did your plastic surgeon or internal medicine physician prescribe the dosage or you just self-medicating?),  and Vit C.  Also add dark leafy veggies, liver, lentils, almonds, dried apricots, beets, and other high iron foods.  Kenneth Hughes, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

You can take iron, Folic Acid, B complex and vitamin C. However I recommend seeing an hematologist, the Doctor will analize the reason of your low level and put you on a treatment.

Hello dear!Thanks for the question.The natural and better options is to continue taking Iron pills, Vitamin C 1000mg and Folic Acid, and never forget to drink at least 2.5 liters of water and try to eat the healthier as possible.Don't get stress out because of it and be patient.Good luck :)
