Burned by LHR and now have brown marks. How long before they start to fade? Or are my legs scarred forever? (photo)

I got burned by laser hair removal on legs. Now i have hyperpigmentation of the marks left by the laser burns. I went to a dermatologist and they prescribed Obagi 4% and i have been using it now for 3 weeks. I haven’t seen a change. I’m afraid my legs are permanently ruined.

It is ok to use whitening products in between treatments.  I would suggest to discontinue the use at least 48 hours prior to your treatment and wait at least 48 hours after your treatment to continue usage.

Thank you for the pictures. However, it’s difficult to evaluate the area due to quality of the picture. Would be best to see your phasician. It almost looks more like raiser burn but seeing that it’s been there for two weeks it could be possible that you got folliculitis which is just an inflamm...

Good Morning and thank you for your question. I advise patients to avoid any type of skincare products with Retinol, Retin - A, Glycolic, Salicylic, Lactic Acid, and Benzoyl Peroxide 5 days before any treatment. All of the products listed above can cause sensitivity to the skin...
