However, should you need revolumization, I would suggest the use of robust HA fillers rather than fat injections, Sculptra or Radiesse. HA fillers have the distinct and notable advantage of being able to relatively easily dissolved hyaluronidase if ever or whenever the need arises The problem with fat is that, despite the claims to the contrary, the results are not permanent. Fat at the recipient site, separated from its original blood supply at the donor site, often does not survive, so that the actual results may not last much longer than those obtained with robust HA fillers. What's more, fat retains the characteristics of the region from which it was taken--meaning that when the belly or buttocks fat with aging develops a midriff bulge, the fat transplanted into the face can do so, as well. I stopped performing fat injections many years ago for these reasons. Sculptra, which I stopped injecting almost a decade ago, is expensive and typically requires about three treatment sessions to see the results. And, there is no enzyme to dissolve it if something goes wrong or the results are not pleasing. Radiesse usually requires one treatment session, but, it, too, cannot be easily dissolved should the need arise. Hence, I stopped using this product about a half dozen years ago, especially since robust HA fillers these days produce almost equally long-lasting results and can be easily dissolved.
