I'm a male and have recently noticed a large dimple on one of my butt cheeks. How can I have it treated?

It is very difficult to determine the exact size and shape implant you will require to best match your ideal butt image without an examination by a board certified plastic surgeon. Not just any board certified plastic surgeon, but one with many years of frequently performing breast augmentation surgery including different approaches, techniques and implant choices. This is because several measurements not to mention your breast characteristics are needed to determine the optimal implant size to obtain your goals. Without knowing these dimensions it would be difficult to make this determination. For example, the existing base width of your buttock will determine, in many cases, the maximal volume per implant profile that you can accommodate. Liposuction of your lower back and fat transfer is also helpful as an adjunct to implants. Using “want to be” photos however are useful if simply provided to the surgeon.

Allow me to answer your question as best i can without any photos. Also, please keep in mind that an in-person consultation with physical exam is first necessary before any legitimate evaluation or final surgical recommendations can be made. That being said, the dimple could be from numerous things, possibly even a bad batch of the steroids. If it remains stable in size/shape over the next 3-6 months then treatment with fat grafting of such a relatively small area may be most effective. I would suggest avoiding dermal fillers as they are typically only a temporary solution. Glad to help.

Typically this can be fixed with transferring some fat taken from another area of your body and injected into the indented area. I have done this procedure on other patients with similar size indentations with good results. With that said, a plastic surgeon would need to examine the area to ascertain if this would be the best option.

Hello and thank you for your inquiry. It is difficult to assess without a photo reference and I would first suggest you provide one here in order to get the best possible answer. It could be that the steroids are the cause for the dimple. I would suggest you stop the use of the steroids and monitor the size of the dimple for the next couple of weeks before consulting a certified plastic surgeon. Fillers could even out the area temporarily but a fat grafting procedure would be the most permanent solution.
