Pain on new perm crowned tooth, what do I do?

Every morning when I wake up, my crowned tooth is aching. I always have to take 2 ibuprofen's. This only happens after I sleep. I think I maybe putting too much pressure on that tooth when I'm sleeping. I got this crown on Monday. It was a last minute thing my Dentist decided to do that day instead of re-filling my tooth. He drilled out my old filling and got a crown and put it on. And cemented it in place.

You are have a high spot on your crown that needs to be adjusted or you are grinding at night and causing discomfort with your new crown.  Schedule an appointment with your dentist to have it evaluated.  Don't wait until it gets worse.  Good luck.

It seems your crown may be high and you may be hitting excessively on it.  Go back to your dentist asap and have your bite adjusted.  Also, it sounds like you are grinding.  It would be smart to invest in a night guard to wear to protect your teeth from damage.

It sounds like the new crown may be high, or touching the opposing tooth too soon.    Sometimes, just cleaning out an old filling, and doing a crown preparation can make the tooth sensitive which can subside over time.  I would recommend seeing your dentist immediately, and let them adjust the bite on the new crown.  Also,teeth that persist in being sensitive over a long period can require a root canal.
