Can I just scrape off the brown spots on my front teeth with a pin as there is no other way to remove them permanently? (Photo)

I have these brown spots on the front of my teeth and even the dentist doesn't exactly know why I have them since I'm regularly brushing and flossing and whenever the dentist cleans it it comes bak after a while. I heard that getting ur teeth cleaned regularly by the dentist does not damage ur tooth enamel so can I get a pin and scrape a bit off? Like whenever I do light scraping myself with a pin i can see the spots disappear easily.

These appear to be external stains. Usually this happens with people that have porous enamel. A better toothbrush, possibly electric, along with a toothpaste possibly for smokers would help. Also, be careful about the amount of smoking, red wine and coffee.

Hi:First of all the staining seems to be external stain, which means there is something in your diet that causing the staining.  Secondly, I would not advise you to use an instrument to scrape your teeth.  It's best to get teeth cleaning every 3 months to get the stain off.Best,Dr. Maddahi

I would suggest for you to use an electric toothbrush as a first course of action. Also, sometimes a person's enamel is not as smooth as it can be and allows for more stain to build up easier. Your teeth may need to be polished very well so that the stain doesn't stick.
