Trying to get Medicare to pay for gene testing. My grandmother and mother both had breast cancer, and I'm an Ashkenazi Jew. If I pay for the out of my own pocket, would Medicare cover a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction?

Thank you for that interesting question. It would be very unusual to have a broken rib after breast augmentation surgery. If you were told this, I would certainly want to know who diagnosed it and how they did it. If it is a non-surgeon, they may have confused pain/discomfort...
There is absolutely no limit to how big you can make a breast. The problem is that you increase the risks of complications related to stretch deformities. If you like the shape you have then be satisfied that your surgeon did a fine job and you look great.
