Will Exilis on face cause fat reduction that is not desired? I only want tightening, but no fat reduction. also can it be done following fillers on face, or will it affect the fillers?

Exilis doesn't cause fat reduction on the face when used properly.  Only go to a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon for treatment.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Exilis and Exilis Elite are radiofrequency machines that produce heat in a specified area. There are two heads for the machine which are generally used one for the face and one for the body. The smaller face tip will heat the lower levels of skin and no deeper and does not cause fat reduction. The larger body tip has an integrated cooling system so that the skin can be cooled and the heat goes deeper. This will reduce the fat in the area where Exilis is performed. Occasionally I will use the larger tip on the face or neck to reduce some of the fat but the smaller tip does not ever reduce fat. While Exilis is sometimes good for the fat of the face and neck, there are other methods such as Kybella injections for the double chin and liposuction for the face or neck that often will serve a patient's needs better. Exilis will not affect hyaluronic acid fillers that are beneath the surface. A consultation with a plastic surgeon who does liposuction, injections and non invasive procedures such as Exilis will best be able to give the best information.
