Thank you for your question in regards to Exilis. Liposuction with Exilis is a great combination if you are the right candidate. To be sure, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. Liposuction can remove the fat and Exilis Elite, an office procedure, can help to tighten up the skin. It will not have the tightening effect of a tummy tuck. With tummy tuck, you can have a separated abdominal muscle repaired, the excess skin removed and abdomen tightened. Please see a board certified plastic surgeon who offers a range of options in body contouring and find out which procedures might be best for you. Best off luck.
Abdominoplasty or tummy tuck removes skin and fat of the abdomen. It can also tighten the muscles of the abdomen if they are split (called a diastsis). Liposuction removes fat of the abdomen but does not tighten skin. Exilis is a radiofrequency heating of the skin which causes increase in collagen and elastic fibers and therefore tighten the skin a bit. In a patient with extra fat, no split in the muscles and just a small amount of loose skin a combination of liposuction and then Exilis may be a good option since there will be almost no scar. A tummy tuck will leave a long scar. Keep in mind however that Exilis will never tighten skin as much as a tummy tuck but is still the right option for many patients as it gives much less downtime after surgery and almost no scar. You should try to find a surgeon who does both tummy tuck and non invasive skin tightening to get the best non biased opinion.
