What is this mark/mole that comes and goes on my face? (photo)

Hello I have this mole type thing that disappears and reappears intermittently, sometimes staying for a month and then gone for most of the year. When its there it is dark red/purple, irregularly shaped, slightly raised and feels weird around the area (kind of numb/heavy). Should I be worried?

This is difficult to answer without pictures. If you're concerned, I recommend following up with a cosmetic dermatologist for an evaluation. I recommend silicone gel with growth factors to help healing. Best, Dr. Emer

It's difficult to tell from your pictures. I recommend a combination approach with lasers, Aerolase, microneedling/prp, skin lightening, peels and skin care. Sun protection is essential. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
