Will frenectomy fix gummy smile? (Photo)

Many years ago I was told that I needed a frenectomy prior to braces. I went to a different othrodontist because I was scared of the procedure at 10 years old. Now I’m wondering if the reason my smile is so gummy is due to my frenum. I had Botox once and enjoyed the results, but would like a more permanent fix. Pictures attached.

Unfortunately frenectomy will not improve your gummy smile. Your gummy smile is caused by the fact that your maxilla Is a bit too long for your face. You need to schedule an appointment with either a Maxilofacial surgeon or a plastic surgeon who performs such procedures. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City Plastic Surgery.
