Question

I am 60 yrs of age, have olive complexion, some pigmentation, sun damage and open pores. Sounds terrible but really not in too bad condition. My concerns are, scarring from the treatment and is it possible that it may make my pigmentation worse. Besides having normal to oily skin, my skin is quite sensitive. I have been previously advised by a dermatologist that dermabrasion would not suit my skin type. Any advice, comments would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your posts. If you could look up laser resurfacing on Youtube under my name, you can see the procedure. Fully ablative erbium with fractional Co2 laser for your chest and neck will give you a good result. Microneedling in your context will give you marginal results, dermabrasion is still an excellent modality, however this procedure has largely been replaced with lasers due to the improved safety profile.
