I have braces on right now. Can I get veneers?

Most likely you can get veneers, and get cosmetic dentistry done, but if your teeth are still moving , you will be needing to wear retainer after all porcelain veneers are completed. It would be wise if you had taken photos!  It is also highly recommended to have a consult with the treating orthodontics and the cosmetic dentist, prior to getting started!

I just completed a similar case where the patient had been on braces for 6 years and was told it would take 2 more years. She was distraught with this news and travelled hundreds of miles from West Texas to get my opinion. I offered a solution she liked which also addressed her gummy smile. We started the day of her consultation by removing the braces and performing gum contouring. She came back to Dallas two weeks later for veneer impressions.
