Face Has Turned Puffy For The Last Month, Is It Lymph Node Damage After Necklift?

I am almost 3 months po. Initial swelling went down beautifully then suddenly my face turned puffy and has remained so for over a month. My surgeon thought it may be due to disruption of lymph nodes and that it will resolve. Any insight? It's very noticeable.

It sounds like from your symptoms that you may have an obstruction of the lymphatics. You may want to consult your physician.

I advise my patients that they should expect swelling for at least 6 months. At times the swelling can seem to increase due to your diet, allergies, ect...this is normal.  If your doctor suspects an issue with your lymph nodes, that is best discussed with him as he knows your case and history.  Best of luck,  Dr. Clevens
