Would lumineers work for my crooked teeth? (photo)

Hi, so I'm 17 and I'm about to go to college. I really don't want to start college with braces on, so I'm looking into other alternatives, lumineers being one of them. The back of my teeth are fairly straight, it's only a couple in the front. (As seen in the pictures) My question is, would lumineers work for my teeth?

Even though full porcelain veneers and crowns are great for some people, I would not recommend them in your case.  As a 17 year old patient at my office, I would highly recommend Invisalign (or an alternative to Invisalign) in order to correct your teeth.  You would likely face about 12-15 months of clear aligner therapy that would allow you to whiten your teeth as you straighten them.  I would recommend having your clear aligners (Invisalign, Clear Correct, etc.) done by a cosmetic dentist, so that they may provide other cosmetic options in addition to clear aligners.  If you were at my office, I would likely straighten your teeth with Invisalign, then place a couple veneers to make your teeth perfect.  Good luck and I hope this helps. lumineers work best for teeth that are already straight or nearly straight in line. Based on photo, your best option would be to get them straight first with any form of braces (e.g. invisalign which you can't see) and then veneers if you still need them.

You could get "an improvement" in your teeth with porcelain veneers, however based on what I see from your photo you clearly should have braces as a first choice.  It would do a much better job than veneers.Understand that as a cosmetic dentist I treat many patients with crooked teeth that I do treat with porcelain veneers, but in your case I highly recommend the orthodontic route, as it would serve you much better.
