Can you combine lumineers with normal porcelain veneers?

Hi all, I was just wondering, as though I would be very sad to shape all my teeth down if you could have lumineers on some of them and then the teeth that are to crocked to get a lumineer can have a normal porcelain veneer? so combine both with out it looking stupid? Hope you can give me an advice

Of course you can combine veneers, Lumineers and porcelain crowns with the same matching shade of white.  I do this pretty frequently.  I don't imagine your cosmetic dentist will have an issue with this at all.Veneers are what I do, so follow me if you have more specific questions.Sarah Thompson, DMD

Lumineers are just a brand of porcelain veneers made by one company.  There is nothing special about Lumineers over any other brand of porcelain, other than they market heavily the "no preparation" concept, which more often than not is not practical.  No preparation veneers oftentimes looks too big, thick and unnatural.  Thus, reasons almost all experienced and highly trained cosmetic dentists rely on at least some tooth preparation at least 90% of the time or more.So...you can mix "lumineers" with traditional veneers as long as they are made by the same lab and use the same porcelain.That being said, I prefer a newer material called Emax porcelain, which in my opinion is stronger, more natural looking and will last you many more years than the feldspathic (old type of porcelain Lumineers are usually made out of) Lumineers.
