Do I have any risk of acquiring something from Brazilian laser hair removal?

Hello, there are different types of laser machines.  Some use distant gauges and some do not.  Either way the gauge or any part of the machine that is touching you needs to be sanitized.  It is unlikely to catch STD's from laser hair removal but other types of infections could be a concern if they are not clean.  Do not feel afraid to ask them what type of sanitation procedures they follow and if you don't feel comfortable with them go to someone else.

Hello there.  If you ever have concerns about hair removal or equipment sterilization, i would follow your gut and ask questions of the staff.  Ask them about their processes and what they do between each use.  The gentlemax pro which is great for all skin types.  The gauges with every treatment and sterilize them in between each area and each patient.  While it is unlikely you could contract anything just from having laser hair removal, it would be possible to be exposed to bacteria etc if the practice was not sterilizing properly.  It is easier to ensure proper sterilization when only the gauges actually touch the patient's skin.  We would also be concerned about the close proximity of the laser beam to the patient and the potentially increased risk of burns.

Hello and thank you for your question, It is highly unlikely you’ll contact anything as most reputable places clean and sanitize their equipment.
