I have been getting Brazilian laser hair removal and I suddenly became scared of possibly contracting something. My technician doesn’t use gauges and just places the machine on my vagina including the inside of the labia majora, which touches the outside of the labia minora. I’ve never see them sterilize I just trust that they do. Is it possible to contract and STD or STI or anything else for that matter? Thank you.

The GentleMax Pro for laser hair removal is a great machine. It is the gold standard for hair removal. In order for the laser to achieve sufficient depth to destroy the hair root bulb, the gauge needs to be touching the skin. This is why it is essential to sterilize the gauges...
I suggest looking up their website for more information and seeing an expert for an evaluation. Diode, alexandrite and yag lasers work best. It will take a series of treatments to get improvement. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hello, transferral of STD's through laser hair removal treatments is unlikely, however you do want to make sure you are going somewhere that is clean. Go in for a consultation, look around and ask about their sanitation practices to ensure you feel comfortable. Good luck!
