Thailand or South Korea for cosmetic surgeries? Caucasian male

Hello! Thinking about getting surgery overseas? Are you planning on returning for follow up? What will you do if you have a complication or need revision? How much money will you ACTUALLY save when you factor in travel expenses? What sort of training and surgical standards for sterility, anesthesia, etc do the facilities there require? I would never have elective surgery overseas but particularly not in a country that does not meet the same strict standards as the US. Realistically though, follow up and the management of complications is virtually impossible there. Good luck!

 When traveling to  another country to undergo surgery, there is no recourse and no follow-up appointments.  The follow-up appointments are just as important as the actual surgery itself, especially with rhinoplasty. Postoperative appointments accomplish managing the soft-tissue envelope skin over the cartilaginous and bony framework of the nose throughout the healing process for the first one year.

While there are excellent surgeons in both Thailand and South Korea, you would be limited in your postoperative care.

I think that you are better off having your surgery locally because post-op care is as important as the surgery.
