I got hit in my tooth with a bat when I was little and it didn't fall out it just turned really yellow

Bleaching the tooth internally may or may not give you a long term improved appearance with that tooth.  If it does not work, you would need to have a porcelain veneer or crown to give a flawless aesthetic result.  Good luck.

Great question. Basically the tooth is permanently bruised. Your options are to have a root canal completed and then to internally bleach the tooth. This is a good option but often is not predictable in a final even color change or that the dark stain can sometime return. Your other option is to cover the dark area with composite or porcelain and try to match your other tooth colors.Either avenue is an option for you--I will say that most people choose to cover the discoloration. It is important to remember that a perfect match is challenging. Talk to a reputable cosmetic dentist to explore what choice is best for you. Good luck

its because of dead pulp tissue. go for intentional rct to prevent further yellowish. yellow staining is because of dead blood cells.

the best way to go, is root canal, post and crown, there are many materials now that will get you great results. zirconium crowns are metal free and you will have a long term solution. aesthetically you will be able to match the other tooth with a good material.
