Are any chemical peels compatible with CPAP use?

I am 48, fair skin with moderate melsma. I also use a CPAP for severe obstructive sleep apnea, using a full face mask. (Simplus FFM if anyone wants to know). It has a T plastic piece on the forehead and straps on the cheeks. I could switch to the nasal mask for a few days (same idea but smaller), and I cannot tolerate the nasal cushions (I think those would be the best in this case). Could I slather aquaphor and use gauze under the straps to be able to do a chemical peel?

The unwanted pigmentation of melasma is not cured by a peel, but rather it is managed and controlled by a series of things. The most important is that the patient understands what they are dealing with. Sun protection is the single most important thing you can control. 365 Days, no matter the weather. Anything that irritates you has the potential to make it worse. If you are guessing that a peel might become more intense due to occlusion by your CPAP, I would agree with you! Discuss this with your Dermatologist who is offering you the  procedure. The skill of the physician is probably more important than the laser/peel/treatment that is given!!
