I've been unhappy with my lip filler because of projection from the profile and I would like height to the cupids bow to make the philtrum appear shorter. I've seen pictures showing the Russian lip technique and there is added height and very little projection. I was wondering if positive results are short-lived because I have read this technique guarantees filler migration. Does migration happen in all cases, even when only a small amount of filler is used? Thank you

It's difficult to make an assessment of facial balance without seeing your whole face. From the photos provided there is nothing that stands out as being obvious or out of proportion. If you would like to try lip fillers, be sure to visit with an expert injector and discuss your treatment goals.
Hi @tourmaline. This appears to be a capsular contracture. This is when a large bolus of filler has been injected and a capsule develops around the surface. This capsule contracts creating a nodule or a lump. This can be reversed with Hyaluronidase.
If your answer to the question's above ("Was I born with a bigger upper lip?" "Is this natural to me?") are "yes" then you should not get more filler.
Another concern (if you decide to get more filler) would be maintaining the natural shape of your lips, so long as you're wanting to remain...
