I recently had radiesse biostimulator injected in my cheeks, temples and jawline. I’m a little worried because I did it impulsively to treat asymmetry but I don’t want to look alien-like or boxy. I know it takes some time to see full results. Is radiesse a good filler for young adults? I’m a 25 year old female. The doctor convinced me it’s better than HA fillers and will help me build up my natural collagen. I’d love to hear your thoughts. Photo is from after
Answer: Love Radiesse :) Radiesse can be a good option for young adults when used conservatively and placed strategically, especially for collagen stimulation and subtle contouring. However, because Radiesse is firmer and builds collagen, it can sometimes create a heavier or more structured look if too much is used — especially in areas like the cheeks and jawline. At your age, with careful technique, it can enhance facial balance beautifully without looking “boxy.” Give it time to settle, and remember collagen stimulation takes a few months to fully develop. If needed, there are ways to soften results later.

Answer: Radiesse can be used on all ages Hi there, Yes Radiesse can still be a great investment for you despite your age. It is designed to last longer than most HA fillers. Not only is it adding immediate volume to correct asymmetry the way HA fillers do, it works with your body to replace collagen and bone density that we lose with the aging process. That being said, it is not easily dissolvable compared to HA fillers. This is something you will need to consider in the future if you decide to use Radiesse again. Looking at your photos it appears to be used appropriately, and the result looks great! It is one of my favorite products to use in our practice.

Answer: Radiesse Hello! My name is Jessica, I am a physician assistant, and one of the providers at Aesthetic Skin in Winnetka and Chicago. This is a great question. Radiesse can be a good option for younger individuals, depending on their specific needs and aesthetic goals. Radiesse is a calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) filler that provides structural support to the skin. It stimulates collagen production, which helps to improve skin texture and volume over time. It’s typically used for deeper lines, folds, and volume loss in areas such as the cheeks, jawline, and hands. Radiesse can be used for subtle volumization and contouring, which may be desirable for younger individuals who want to enhance their features without dramatic changes. By stimulating collagen production, Radiesse can improve the skin’s firmness and elasticity, which might be beneficial for younger people who want to address early signs of aging or volume loss. It can be used in various areas of the face, making it suitable for different treatment goals. I hope this helps and best of luck!

Answer: Expert Facial Plastic Surgeon Injector....Is Radiesse a good filler for young people? (Photo) Hi Sunny, I use hyperdilute Radiesse in patients. When used properly by an expert injector the results should be natural and should not create an unnatural appearance. I personally prefer Sculptra aesthetic in young patients. Feel free to contact me with any further questions or concerns. Good luck and be well. Michael Persky, MD Encino, CA

Answer: HA Fillers The Most "Forgiving," Since They Can Be Easily Dissolved Should The Need Arise Many years ago, when silicone, a permanent filler, was the only filler available, we had no other options to offer when a patient needed a filler. When collagen fillers, which were natural fillers, came around, I stopped silicone. When Radiesse, a semi-permanent filler, which offered longer-lasting results, came on the scene I was one of the first to offered it, at a time when it was called Radiance. However, when natural HA fillers, which could be easily dissolved, came on the scene and offered relatively durable results, I stopped using Radiesse and for a number of years already have exclusively used hyaluronic acid fillers. These fillers are specifically formulated by the various manufacturers to meet the needs of specific purposes, such as skin boosters and biomodulators for increasing skin hydration and tautness; volume replacement; lifting, etc. So, while Radiesse is certainly acceptable practice, the foregoing is my rationale for no longer using this or any other semi-permanent or permanent filler products. Hope this helps you going forward Best of luck.
