Which is better for Melasma aerolase or picoway?

I have been trying to get rid of Melasma for several years. I have olive skin tone, never had kids and haven’t gone through menopause yet. I have tried several topical prescription and chemical peels. I would like to try laser. My Melasma is surface and deep levels. What are laser options I should try or any new techniques?

Before jumping to expensive "bells and whistles" laser treatments for melasma, you might wish to discuss the use of professionally performed microneedling accomapnied by prescription pigment reducers, such as topical tranexamic acid. Alternatively, professionally performed microneedling accompanied by an appropriate peeling agent. Microneedling has an over two decades long safety and efficacy record for use in all skin types--something that cannot necessarily be said of the more faddish, supposedly "next big thing" laser therapies of all stripes. You would be wise to consult with an experienced board certified cosmetic dermatologist, rather than any venue offering the laser system it has just purchased. Hope this helps and best of luck.

First and foremost melasma is not a curable disorder. It is hormone influenced production of melanin in people that have at least some genetically skin of color. One has to be prepared to protect the skin from UV light lifelong, as even one day of unprotected sun exposure can reverse years of treatment results. Picoway is the optimal laser treatment for melasma of any skin Fitzpatrick level. I have seen that the home laser treatment is cleared by the FDA for treatment of melasma, and a home laser device does not have even energy to treat melasma. Picoway is a better choice than the other picometer devices currently on the market because of the flexibility of energies and depths independent of each other.
Not only does it markedly reduce the melasma, Picoway produces a marked amount of collagen, reduces wrinkles and fine lines, and reduces appearance of pore size. Picoway has an excellent track record, takes multiple sessions, and can be used as a maintenace treatment.
