Will the Vitamin A in my multi vitamin affect my laser treatments on my face?

I just recently started taking a woman’s multi vitamin as I get older; however, I usually have laser treatments on both my face and underarms. Will the Vitamin A, or any other associated vitamins within, affect my skin in any way or should I stop taking the vitamins x days before my next appointment?

Thank you for your question in regards to laser hair removal. The amount of Vitamin A in a multivitamin supplement should not affect your laser treatments. Medical grade vitamin a topicals are more of a concern putting your skin at higher risk for sensitivity. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

no they do not but I suggest you pre treat your skin with proper vitamin A such as cosmelan and enlighten peels with vivatia foam and faith essance serum.  pre and post treatment is essenial along with LED red light therapy.  See an expert.  Best, Dr. Emer.

The amount of vitamin A in your multivitamin shouldn't have any affect on your treatment.  We are more concerned with the use of topical prescription tretinoin on an area being lasered as this makes you more photo sensitive.
