Just received an erbium laser treatment and want to continue to improve my skin and keep it healthy. How long should I wait before I try a less intense treatment such as fractora?
Answer: How long to wait for Fractora after erbium laser? Once your face has healed from the erbium laser treatment, you could have Fractora done. The depth of the erbium laser would determine how long the healing process is. I would think you could have the Fractora anytime after a month or so, if your skin has fully healed.

Answer: Acne Scars Thanks for your question. Let yourself fully heal and see the effects of the Erbium before partaking in Fractora. I would give yourself about a month. Please be advised while Fractora has less downtime, it is in no way an inferior treatment. Erbium and Fractora target the skin in different ways and combined together it is a powerful treatment. Here are my tips for successful acne scar revision:RF needling- Needles combined with Radio Frequency create microchannels in the skin, creating collagen. There are many great systems available, but seek on that is safe for all skin types. I like Fractora. Pinpoint irradiation- Specialized technique I use where strong beam profile of a Co2 laser is directed to each individual scar. Think of it as painting each scar with laser to get the maximum benefit. Erbium- An ablative laser to improve skin texture and improve collagen production. Microneedling- Microneedling used alone is a good, but it especially effective as an add-on to the above treatments. Combining different modalities increases efficacy. Cross-TCA- 100% acid directed at the scar will build collagen. Subcision- Cutting the scar free from the tissue and filling in depressions with either a High G prime filler or Bellafil. This requires a skilled and experienced physician to perform. PiQo4- Made for reducing hyperpigmentation or Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation, this laser is safe for all skin tones. Several sessions are needed for optimal results. Best, Anil Shah MD

Answer: Around 4-6 weeks Great question! Hope you had great results from your erbium. In general, you should wait approximately 4-6 weeks after your erbium laser treatment before having Fractora. Ultimately, you can have it done once your skin has completely healed from the erbium and you no longer have any redness or flaking/peeling. The erbium laser treats more of the external superficial skin layers, whereas Fractora goes deeper and treats the deeper layers of the skin, so you should notice nice results after having them both done.
