Are sebaceous glands intact after hair follicles are destroyed by laser hair removal?

I've read that sebaceous glands may be present after laser hair removal, what would be the function of sebaceous glands in this case?Because i thought it's an integral part of hair follicle and if hair follicles are destroyed by cicatricial alopecia or burn injuries, than they're destroyed too.Does it mean if sebaceous glands are still present, than maybe the dermal papilla is not destroyed by laser hair removal?
