Hello MW. Although most medications are not contraindicated with lasers because of photosensitivity, we do usually take precautions with cancer drugs and chemotherapy. We usually refer back to the oncologist for their experience and wait for approval. In our 15 year experience with laser hair removal, the only true contraindicated drug we have found with lasers is Accutane and we have a 6 month "wash out" period after Accutane to start laser treatments. Steroids will not cause hair to grow back.

After multiple treatments of laser hair removal the hairs typically become finer and may lighten a bit in color but would not turn white. It is possible that you are now noticing the white hairs as the darker hairs are being removed!
