Is there hope for lump on my left butt cheek after BBL? I had it performed January 2017 in Mexico. (photos)

Question

Four weeks later I discovered an uneven lump on my butt cheek. The Doctor suctioned the area 1 month later & once again a month after the first suction. I seen a PS here in Beverly Hills in June, he did light lipo (he didn't promise a drastic chance) total of 5 months later, the lump feels as if it keeps filling up. Any suggestions as to what can be done?

Hello and Great Question.  I appreciate the time you are spending researching this procedure.  My name is Dr. Matthew J. Nykiel.  I am a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, a Fellowship Trained Cosmetic Surgeon, and a Butt Augmentation Specialist.
If it keeps filling up and lipo isn't treating it, then I don't think it is fat.  It may be fluid (seroma), which can be treated differently first with draining, then with injecting fluids, and finally with cutting out the fluid cavity.

Dear sunnicali,an examination would be required to get more information. Based on your photos, it looks like your bump is pretty big. Generally speaking, unevenness and bumps after a BBL can be reduced with liposuction. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS

This is a good example why doing procedures abroad is not a great idea - if something untoward happens, you are on your own.   Sounds like you developed a fluid pocket, or a seroma.    After a few weeks, the seroma makes a wall of scar tissue around it, and unless you have that wall excised, the mass will remain.
