Is fat transfer safe for malar bags?

I am currently researching options for my malar bag treatment. I am considering fat transfer is it a good choice. Or is it risky.

Thank you for your question.I would suggest discussing this with your Dermatologist and Plastic surgeon to see what their preference would be. My recommendation would be to wait until you are off the Accutane, but everyone is different.

You can resume activity after 7-10 days, if you do excessive exercise and lose weight you may lose some of the transfer.  at 6 weeks the majority of what should stay would have stayed.  Add Sculptra to improve results.  Best, Dr. Emer.

At this time I would be very careful with submuscular fat grafting speciallyin large muscle groups. There are other alternatives that may help you achieve good results with lesser risks. Consult with a board certified plasticsurgeon experienced in body enhancement techniques. Best wishes.
