CO2 Laser skin tag removal complications on neck? Early sign of hypertrophic scarring? (Photo)

Question

I had several benign skin tags/moles removed from my face, and a small cluster on my neck. I noticed that the ones on my face are healing, but the small cluster on my neck look rather irritated. The borders of where the skin tags used to be are red. Almost like a red ring. The center appears to be white. The red rings are not flush with the skin when you feel the area. It's been about 4 days post OP. Very worried these are early signs of hypertrophic scars. Chances of CO2 causing this? :(

It can take 6-12 weeks for laser results to settle. I recommend following up with a cosmetic dermatologist for after care and skin care recommendations.Sun protection is essential. Lasers like Co2 work best in combination with other treatments in order to improve the skin's texture and collagen. After Co2, I recommend adding fraxel lasers, microneedling/prp and radiofrequency treatments. I suggest purchasing silagen and bioshield and using both twice daily. Best, Dr. Emer

situation. Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing is an outstanding treatment that
can address multiple aspects of aging in a single treatment. Recovery can take two weeks or longer after a treatment on the neck. At that point hyperpigmentation can be treated with creams if necessary. Patience is important. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!
