No buttons or attachments are needed if doing SmileCareClub clear aligner treatment. In my experience, I have found no need, even in my practice.
Some aligners use buttons (also called engagers or attachments) to help aligners fit tighter and move teeth. This is one way to move teeth. Fortunately there are other options now on the market. Many patients don't like the buttons because they think they are unanesthetic and they can break. Other aligner companies, like SmileCareClub do not use them. The bio-mechanics work differently. The aligners are also trimmed differently to help them stay in tightly. SmileCareClub aligners do work like a retainer, but you have between 5 and 20 sequential retainers which are changed every 3 weeks. Each aligner moves your teeth up to 0.3mm.

I don't believe that SDC has anyone that could legally remove enamel in their locations. My suggestion is to contact your local general dentist and ask them about it. It shouldn't a huge deal and a simple fix they'll be able to address for you! Smile Big, Dr. Brice
SDC is okay with mild spacing or very mild crowding... but it should really stop there. From your picture, it seems like your smile might be better handled by an Orthodontist. It seems like you have a posterior crossbite on the right side ( I bet you bite on the inside of your cheek often), some...
