I’m 20 years old, 5’10 and weigh 230 pounds. I’m also prediabetic. I’ve been struggling with my weight for a long time. I’ve been overweight for years and just recently became obese. I have attempted to lose weight through changing my exercise and diet, but I haven’t succeeded in reaching my goals.

Check your BMI:Weight in KG/ Hight in m2Alternatively you can Google it!If your BMI is above 40, then your insurance will most likely cover the surgery.If your BMI is between 35-40 you are also covered if you have a medical problem, like Diabetes , Hypertension or Sleep Apnea.If one fall outside those criteria, (Like you), then you have to pay out of pocket for the surgery.
