Can Fraxel laser be endured without topical numbing? 64 y/o female, unable to metabolize medication.

I am a 64 yo female who would like to do Fraxel laser treatments for the improvement of skin texture and fine wrinkles. I cannot use the typical topical numbing cream as I do not metabolize any of the "caine" medications. I don't have a typical IgE mediated allergy, but rather an inability to metabolize the drugs (this is the opinion of an extensive allergy and immunology workup). Can this procedure be tolerated without numbing cream?
