I am thinking about getting dental bonding on my two front teeth to close a very small gap. The two font teeth are all that I would need. I am on a limited budget so that is why I am considening bonding instead of veneers. I called a dentist in Mexico (I live close to the border) on the telephone to ask how much it would cost and he told me he generally discourages them because they only last one year. I have read several articles that say they last longer. Is the one year mark really true?
Answer: Go with Bonding I think composite bonding is an excellent option for you, provided it's done by a highly skilled clinician. I completely understand you are on a limited budget, but if you want the bonding to last a long time and have a nice cosmetic result, you may want to do more careful research on which dentist you choose. You might end up spending a little more money in the short term, but in the long run you will not regret it. Many practices also offer flexible financing or payment plans. Hope this helps, good luck!

Answer: How long does dental bonding last? Teeth bonding is done with a composite resin that can restore both aesthetics and function to your smile. Placed on both the front and back of teeth, the composite resin used in teeth bonding provides a strong, long-lasting, and seamless appearance to smiles impacted by decay or marred by cosmetic imperfections. They do last as long as the patients takes care of them. An aesthetic dentist will have in consideration the patient's bite, eating habits, oral care products used at home, etc. They require to be replaced sooner than porcelain but they can look seamless and picture perfect. Ultimately patients have to feel comfortable about their decision and what they are comfortable spending.

Answer: Longevity of Dental Bonding Hi Jon If the bonds are done correctly by a skilled dentist and your bite is fine and you do not open packages or bottle tops with your teeth and crunch ice, your bonds could last you up to 10 years. It is not only a less expensive way to go, but you preserve your natural teeth without the reduction that veneers require! Good choice and find a good dentist who can show you pictures of his bonding skills! Look of testimonial online and happy bonding!

Answer: How long does dental bonding last? How long direct composite veneers (plastic bonding) lasts depends on many things. Yes, they might only last one year, but could also last up to ten.It would depend on certain conditions in your mouth, your bite, what kind of food you eat, the drinks you ingest, how much of your tooth is there for the composite to be bonded onto. Also the skill and expertise of the dentist. The technique and material he uses to make your plastic veneers. In general, composite bonding is used for younger individuals or those on a limited budgets. Most dentists and patients prefer the results of porcelain veneers, but like yourself, not every patient who can benefit from porcelain veneers can afford them.
