Severe burning and pimples after shaving my arms - can I still move forward with laser hair removal? (photo)

When I shaved my hands I exprienced severe burning, itchy, red pimples. I would like to know how can I avoid this irritation next time and how can I treat it now. Also, I will have my next treatment soon. Is it recommend to wait until the irritation go away or it’s fine to do my treatment
