I got composite veneers, 10 on top, cause social media, and I regret it after a few days. Can I get them removed without damaging my own teeth? I just want my own teeth back.
Answer: Removing composites The answer may depend on what was done to the teeth prion to placing the composites. If significant tooth structure was removed or even minor amounts, it may be difficult to get back to exactly what you had originally. Definitely time consuming. Perhaps you can share with the dentist what it is you don't like about them and they can be altered to please you. Porcelain veneers are more predictable because you can see what the final look will be through the use of temporaries. Sure hope you can get some satisfaction because it sounds like you have invested a lot of chair time in this project already. Best of luck

Answer: Removing composite veneers Hi Jen from London town, So sorry you are disappointed with your direct composite veneers. Composite veneers can be removed without significant damage to the underlying teeth; however, the process is quite time consuming as the material is well bonded to the tooth enamel. Of course I'm assuming that the dentist did not remove any of your original tooth prior to placing the veneers. In the future you might consider porcelain veneers. They cost more up front, but hold their appearance, are more durable and would be far easier to remove.
