I'm using Propecia for 8 and a half months. Massive shed for 1,5 month followed by great regrowth on M.P.B areas. Since the 8 month mark I'm experiencing increased shedding and a lot of bad quality vellus hairs have been seen, especially where the problem lies. Is this just a shedding phase or Propecia is losing ground so soon even if I had great results?

Is losing thinner tapered hairs (4.5-5cm) a characteristic of telogen effluvium?No, this so called intermediate hair is somewhat non specific. It does not necessarily mean a person has a telogen effluvium. Androgenetic alopecia needs to be excluded as well as a few other causes.
