Can keto harm hair follicles? After getting an HT I stopped using Keto, I started again 2.5 months post-op and the next day I felt mild irritation/burning on my scalp. I saw visible thinning in the Keto areas (as has happened occasionally before) and now 5 months post-op I am not seeing any growth in the recipient areas. The native hairs that fell out grew back right away, those follicles are undamaged but I'm wondering if the Keto can damage the new, more vulnerable transplanted follicles?

Answer: Can ketoconazole shampoo damage hair follicles?
If the medication is causing the hair loss, then it most likely will continue to cause the hair loss and it is a good idea to determine with your doctor what other medications you can take that may have fewer reports of this side effect. You may also want to consider seeing a hair...
If you are losing hair all over your body, you should see a dermatologist. There are some genetic diseases that appear in adults that cause this as well as metabolic problems which must be evaluated.
