Is Invisalign or Inman Aligner treatment going to fix my 6 mm overjet? (Photo)

Question

I have been wearing braces twice in my life: first time the removable one when I was a child, then a fixed ones around 13 y/a. I was not happy with the result as I was left with 5-6mm overjet. Such a shame after many months of treatment. Because of that reason I will never consider fixed braces ever again. I read on the Internet that these can be treated with new removable braces such as Invisalign or Inman Aligner. I've been to two Orthodontists and the answers are contradictory. Please help!

For sure the Inman aligner is not going to fix your overjet. It's difficult to tell from the photo if the problem is because your upper teeth are too far forward or your lower teeth are too far back. If I had to guess, I would say it's your lower teeth. If they are crowded, perhaps straightening them and placing a fixed bonded retainer would help. An Inman aligner could solve part of this problem but not 6mm. Invisalign might be a better option.

Braces, Invisalign, Inman, etc. are JUST TOOLS.  They work if used correctly for the correct situation.  The reason your overbite was not fixed the first time had nothing to do with what type of appliance you had...it had to do with an incorrect treatment plan, or poor cooperation on your part,  or the doctor.As they say: "only a poor carpenter blames his tools!"
