Increased astigmatism 8 days post op reLEX Smile laser eye surgery - why is this, how likely will this go away?

Had relex smile laser eye surgery 8 days ago. Astigmatism has increased from about 0.5 to 1.25 on both eyes. Surgeon said the shape of cornea has improved when comparing pre and post op scans and could be top and bottom cornea not fusing back together yet. Is this normal? Will this go away on its own and what are the chances? I find that my vision is sharper after a nap but the blurriness worsens quite a bit after using the computer for even just a short while.
