I don't like my veneers! I don't know why! Can you help so I can fix them? (Photo)

You have a pathologically underdeveloped maxilla which resuls in narrow 6 tooth smile, posterior dark buccal corridors and anterior teeth that have been "squeezed" forward.Ideally if doing veneers you would have done 10- 12 to fill out the entire smile.  A far better approach would be to correct underlying underdevloped maxilla first.  The DNA Appliance does this well in adults but ideally it is done before 8 years old.  The SARPE procedure is also possible.  This will eliminate dark buccal corridors and distorted 6 tooth smile.  Six veneers would have looked even worse!Widening will also help eliminate the gummy smile issue. and the deep nasal labial creases. It is possible to to do a reerse vestibular extension to eliminate gummy smile.

Broadening the smile here would help—meaning adding more veneers for better harmony of the smile.  Now the front 4 are the focal point that the eye is drawn too. Temporaries tend to be a bit bulkier than the final teeth and this is a good opportunity to correct or tweak things before you get your finals. 

Keep in mind they are temporaries, temporaries do look fake and bulky.  My hope is that now you have the permanent veneers and they are translucent and beautifully mimic your natural enamel.  With that, it would have been better had you done 10-12 veneers.  When I look at your smile the front four teeth look big and it is exaggerated (an illusion almost) because you have a narrow arch, meaning your back teeth go straight back so they don't show much.  Had you had 10-12 veneers done they would have filled the corners of your smile (the buccal corridor) giving you a full broad smile. I hope you had a great outcome or that you added the needed veneers to achieve the look you are going for!  You're beautiful anyway, but being comfortable in your own smile is important.  Smiles, Dr. Shelton
