You are plenty old enough and they should not fall not.  Your dentist is right. Follow his/her recommendations on this.   You should also be aware that having a root canal at such a young age makes it likely that in the course of your life they will likely break and need to have implants placed.

At 19 you are pretty safe to have crowns done on teeth that have previously had root canal. Xrays and an exam will reveal whether or not you may need posts to strengthen the teeth.  It may also be possible to cosmetically whiten the teeth prior to either crown or laminate veneers. Selecting a great cosmetic dentist is the next and most important step.

Yes, you are old enough to get crowns. The photo was too dark to see, so I couldn't tell how dark the teeth are. If the teeth themselves are a good shape,etc, then you could try internal bleaching to lighten them. I have used that successfully with many patients. They may redarken over time and need to be bleached again. Crowns are unlikely to fall out, but the teeth may break off if you aren't careful of them or the crowns may need to be redone years in the future as you mature. For example, the color may be too light as your natural teeth tend to darken some as we age or the gum may recede exposing the dark root.Find a good dentist who does cosmetic dentistry and work with them.
