Yes, this is okay to treat as long as you are not on any medication that would contraindicate you to receive treatment. I would book a consultation to review your medical history and assess the area you would like treated.
Hello and thank you for your question. I need more information to accurately answer your question, like when did you have breast cancer, are you currently undergoing treatment? I suggest an in person consultation in order to direct you to your available options. Please make sure you tell your medical provider all medications, treatment you currently take. Best wishes to you.Dr. T
If a person has a history of breast cancer they may be on certain medications or undergoing various treatment options( i.e. chemotherapy, hormonal therapies). These medications or therapies could make them more susceptible to light energies such as Lasers and IPL used for hair removal. A free consultation with full disclosure of all medications and ongoing therapies would be essential to determine the safety of light energy utilization for hair removal. Sometimes Testosterone supplementation is utilized for advanced breast cancer and at these high doses of Testosterone a person can see increased unwanted hair growth which is quite amenable to removal using light energy techniques. I would also recommend a small sample area be tried prior to large area treatments.I hope that helps you. Good luck.
Hello, any time there is any kind of change in hormones the chance of hair regrowth is likely. Especially if taking testosterone I would expect that you will get regrowth. You can always start doing laser treatments again.
Hello and thank you for your question. No you do not have to worry about sperm damage when getting laser hair removal. Best wishes. Dr. T
Typically we would do the laser hair removal to the entire area surrounding the cyst but avoiding lasering directly over the cyst. We would especially want to avoid treating over the area if the cyst is inflamed.
