Will it be too late to have a top up after 4 weeks?

I had crows feet Botox as a model for trainees 2 weeks ago with mediocre results, the clinic will only see me for a review in another trainee clinic which is only held every 2 weeks! I was unable to attend this last clinic - my question is will it be too late to have a top up after 4 weeks as I’ve heard something about Botox antibodies?

It is fine to have a Botox touch up four weeks after your initial injection.  The treatment is considered in full effect after two weeks which is why that time frame is often recommended for any touch ups.  Your treatment results will last about three to four months typically.

You should be fine getting additional units of Botox at 4 weeks. There should be no issue with that timing. Having said that, hopefully you have confidence in your injector and i would recommend if you serve as a “model” for trainees, that the supervising provider is someone with experience.Best wishes,Pamela Stuart, MD
