I have had braces twice. I like my teeth for the most part but I still crave them to be nicer. I’ve been looking into teeth bonding or possibly veneers but I don’t want to pay an arm and a leg.

Based off of these photos it seems as though your teeth seem "short" aka almost as wide as they are tall. Teeth should be taller than they are wide to make a pleasant smile for most people. Often teeth have this appearance due to clenching and grinding or excess gum tissue. From these pictures it looks like you may need a slight gum lift. Then if you are still not happy you would consider veneers to change the shape, size, and color further. You need to find a dentist to do an aesthetic consultation, take photos, and perhaps do a mock up of what you smile could look like.
