Is a straight nose always more attractive? (Male)

If you look at most of the famous actors, actresses or models, the perception of their aesthetics is usually based upon symmetry.  Often, if you were to divide our face down the middle with photoshop and duplicate each half, most of us would create two completely different-looking individuals.  The ones of us who are more symmetric tend to appear more aesthetically pleasing.  Therefore, a straight nose = more aesthetically pleasing.

Almost always a straight nose is aesthetically preferable to a curved or crooked one. But for patients considering rhinoplasty the best and safest way to determine the effect on your overall facial appearance is to have your potential surgeon create a computer simulation (a "morph") of your face with a straighter nose.I find these simulations to be especially helpful since the patient can get a very realistic idea of how the WHOLE face looks when altering a single feature like the nose.All the best,--David C.
