Hyperpigmentation can ruin your skin and can be caused by either PIH (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation), melasma, age or sun spots, and chronic inflammation. Starting treatment is easy with topical creams; followed by laser and light therapy. I would use a combination skincare protocol that includes topical Melarase creams first, followed by a combination of light fractional laser, depigmenting lasers and IPL, vascular pulsed dye laser, and Covalent peels. Thank you for your question. Ethnic skin should be very cautious when it comes to treatments with lasers. For post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is what you are experiencing, you should use sunscreen everyday with SPF 30 with zinc oxide, and use bleaching creams containing hydroquinone for the next 2 months to reduce the discoloration. The use of sunscreen and sun avoidance is most important. Be certain to be under the supervision of a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon with expertise in laser procedures and ethnic skin for the most effective and safe treatments. I hope this helps
Hyperpigmentation and discoloration on the body can only be improved with a combination of topical creams followed by laser therapy. We recommend the Kareskin Body Brightening Kit: Melaclenz MelapadsLuminase and Exfolase creamsFollowed by fractional laser, Covalent peels, and Yag laser...
While oral glutathione pill can be helpful for skin lightening, there is significant risk to one's kidney function at higher dose. I would stay away for now until the drug is better studied and approved by the U.S. FDA.
Dark spot correction can be attained with use of the Melarase creams, Melapads, and once monthly Melapeels. The creams may work well for dark skin types, including Indian or Pakistani. Raffy Karamanoukian MD FACSLos Angeles
I see this condition very often and begin patients on MelaPads in the morning and Melarase PM in the evening to reduce pigmentation and dark spots.
