On October 12 the lady went too far into my hairline, sideburn & end of eyebrow, this was my third session for face, but this was the first time she got into my hairline & uneven it out as well as some dark marks by the side of my hairline, I don't know if it is a burn or not? There was shedding & i do see some new hair, but will they all fully come back as normal or will it be thinner? I look completely bald from one side, I'm scared it wont grow back, how long will it take?
Answer: Will hair grow back after laser hair removal error? Thank you for your question and I'm sorry that things didn't go as planned. It is possible that your hair will grow back, but at this point you'd just have to wait and see. All the best!

Answer: Too much laser hair removal? Dear sarrah34:When properly performed (under the guidance of a board-certified core specialist) each laser treatment will result in a permanent removal treatment of some hairs (those that are in the growing phase of the hair cycle, especially the early portion of that growing phase, when the hair bulb has the most pigment). This is generally up to one third of the hairs in that area. We don’t know what parameters were used in your treatment so it is not possible to know whether only some or all of the hairs will regrow. This might be the one situation where you might hope that your treatment was not being overseen by an MD or DO and therefore might not be effective! There are treatments to regrow hair such as PRP injections with or without microneedling, in part by calling stem cells to the treated area which can form new hair follicles. You might want to wait at least 9 months to get a sense of how many hairs are regrowing. In the future, seek treatment that is supervised by a board certified dermatologist with long-term experience in laser hair removal. Not only will it be more effective, you will be unlikely to experience side effects and since you will see results that will be permanent within a limited number of treatments so it will be less expensive in the long run.

Answer: Will my hair come back after laser hit hairline and eyebrows? This is a difficult question to answer. Only time will be able to tell if your hair grows back. Perhaps adding PRP might be helpful at this point.

Answer: Hair If the laser treatment was done properly, the visible follicles that were treated would be destroyed by the laser. These hair would likely not recover. However often we do have hairs in typically in a dormant stage which are not visible and therefore not susceptible to the laser. This is why, for hair removal we recommend repeat treatment in about 6 weeks. So in a few weeks, you may get some regrowth of the hair that was in a different cycle at the time of the laser treatment. PRP injection - is an option to stimulate and strengthen the hairs in the telogen phase (rest phase) to progress to the anagen phase (growth phase) of the hair cycle. This can mitigate the loss from the laser treatment.
