My opinion is to have a nonablative resurfacing which has been shown to improve any scarring conditions and give improvement in complexion. I have treated many patients with this. I would avoid co2 laser if possible although it is probably safe it is less safe than a nonablative laser like fraxel with microneedling and PRP. Best, Dr. Emer.
I agree with Dr Emer,I personally would use the Fraxel 1927- 1550 Dual system as it is non-ablative. The CO2, as know is the strongest wavelength, and hence on the side of caution I would rather use several more gentle treatments than an aggressive one with the risk of flaring up your auto-immune condition.
